Getting Closer!

We have to say 2021 was full of excitement as we brought Superior Ceramic Coatings from just a dream to reality. The year was filled with trainings including taking business planning classes, QuickBooks Online classes, FFL classes and most importantly Cerakote Application Training (see last blog article for more information on the training we attended in San Antonio). 

Our workspace is located inside Superior Guns and Ammo, a new establishment in Superior, Wisconsin. Paul has been helping them with the drywall finishing and painting of the interior walls. Since this has been his profession for years, he was able to help to get this done quickly! We are simultaneously helping each other to get the shop up and running, working closely together towards opening our doors and serving our wonderful community.

We have also been ordering the equipment and supplies we need including our second oven for curing and our sandblasting cabinet, both of which were custom built. We found out in mid-December that there was a delay in the making of our Sandblasting Cabinet, as most of the employees at the cabinet shop were hit by COVID 19 - such as the world we have been living in.  But since this was a minor hiccup, we are not letting it get us down. We have plenty of other things we have been working on while we wait for this equipment to be delivered, including our workspace which is coming together very nicely.

We learned a lot through this entire process of business start-up during 2021 and we continue to learn as we go. We have been fortunate enough to have so many community partners in our corner to help us with logistics and to encourage us throughout the process. This has been both exhausting and exhilarating at the same time. It is amazing to see our dream come to fruition.
